Mogomoto Prototype is a company founded out of the necessity to communicate thru design. Our essential tools are the imagination, as a catalyst for creation, and our fabrication techniques, as a means to satisfy our design visions. We specifically focus on the design, the fabrication, the testing, and the redesign of hardware prototypes that enable us to climb higher, ride farther, and experience more.
Mogomoto Prototype is not a traditional company. We have ideas, visions, and obsessions, but do not set business goals that constrain us. We develop prototypes from concepts, then go off to test and redesign. If a viable product results from the evolution of a prototype, then we feel fortunate to have experienced the process of going from concept to prototype and from prototype to product. Our goal is not to simply produce products, but instead to develop prototypes that extend the boundaries of our creative limits and add value to the experiences we chase.
At the core of our company is the approach to learning embodied by an elite Alpinist. As an Alpinist, you must love and commit to the process of moving within mountains more than the end result of scaling them. Love for the process and commitment to action are your most valuable tools in the mountains. Our core business approach is reflective of this ideology - At Mogomoto Prototype the highest value is given to what we learn from the process of design and not the end resulting product. In the long-term, singular achievements can fade or are forgotten, while the experiences required to achieve them remain with us. What we learn from an experience, unlike the individual achievement, can be shared and passed on to the next generation.
